The holiday season is a special time of year, filled with families, friends and community. This season of joy should be a time of thanksgiving for the blessings we enjoy as well as a time to share. I encourage you to make a donation to the Miss Florida Latina Scholarship Fund, especially at this time of year.
The Miss Florida Latina and Miss Teen Florida Latina Pageants, is a beauty and scholarship program dedicated to showcasing the inner & outer beauty and talents of young women of Hispanic ancestry. Our objective is to instill cultural pride, self esteem and leadership qualities among young women. Our program provides an opportunity for Latinas to advance in their careers and personal goals by learning of their heritage, improving self esteem and networking. As we go into the last few days of 2009, I am amazed and grateful. It has been an incredible year for me, and I hope for you, too. There were some wonderful things that occurred this year, people I was able to meet, and learning that occurred. At the same time, as I reflect on the past, and am grateful for the present, I also focus my gaze on the future and the upcoming work during 2010.
We will continue our Casting and Interviews for the Miss Florida Latina Program during February 2010, not only for Teen and Miss Delegates, but for Little Princesses ages 4-12 and Women of Achievement married or single with children ages 18 and up. So if you haven’t filled out your application to participate in the Miss Florida Latina Pageant of 2010, now is the moment to do so. Meanwhile our current titleholders will participate at the Miss Latina Nationals during the month of May of 2010 in the Dominican Republic.
I sincerely hope you enjoy your holidays, have time with family and friends, and continue to join me for al the exciting events we have planned for 2010! You are invited to check out the GiabellaSalon.com website for more exciting news for 2010.
All the BEST to you and yours.
Happy Holidays
