FLORIDA LATINA

While minorities and women are making substantial gains in entering the workforce, we are not equally represented at the mid- and senior-levels of management in government or corporate sectors. Latinas are also significantly underrepresented on corporate boards, political arenas and the media industry.

 

Florida Latina Leadership and Development Seminars, was created as a result of the Miss Florida Latina and Miss Teen Florida Latina Pageants. Many Latinas want to look like a pageant queen, but also want the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace.

Our Florida Latina Program is designed so that to increase Latinas in leadership positions, while enhancing self esteem and personal development.

 
The Florida Latina and Teen Florida Latina Proggram is a Personal Development and Leadership Seminar dedicated to showcasing the beauty and talents of young women of Hispanic ancestry between the ages of 14 to 17 for the Teen Division and 18 to 27 for the Miss division, of Hispanic Heritage. Our objective is to instill cultural pride, self esteem and leadership qualities among these young women. This program provides an opportunity for Latinas to advance in their careers and personal goals by learning of their heritage, developing self esteem and networking.
The FLORIDA LATINA and TEEN FLORIDA LATINA final night event air as specials on the Miss Florida Latina Channel, as well as on other networks. Previous to the FLORIDA LATINA Program, Giabella Inc., has been producing pageants since 1997 in mayor US cities and Internationally. Our sister company Giabella Salon has been coaching and developing beauty pageant contestants for more than 30 years. Our alumni have achieved success in law, medicine, education, private business, public service, entertainment and so much more. The FLORIDA LATINA broadcasts showcase the host city and individuals or corporations who sponsor the program. This past year’s pageant was located in The City of Orlando.

 Throughout their year, the Florida Latina Titleholders will have the opportunity to travel throughout the state making appearances at various events.
