About our Organization
MISS FLORIDA LATINA ORGANIZATION
· The Miss Florida Latina Organization is the nation’s most prestigious and longest running pageant for Latinas in Florida.
· The mission of the Miss Florida Latina Organization is to promote positive achievement, healthy living, creative accomplishments and community involvement for Florida’s Latina women.
· Miss Florida Latina is a mentoring and community-based program, which celebrates the charm, grace and poise of Latina Women.
· The competition intends to recognize inner and outer beauty of young Latinas, while encourage and rewarding the talent, intelligence, achievements and community service of young women.
· The Miss Florida Latina program also provides personal and professional opportunities aimed at helping young Latina women develop cultural pride, discipline, initiative, confidence and leadership for success. Almost all contestants have received, or are in the process of earning High School, college or postgraduate degrees and utilize the skills learned at Miss Florida Latina to further their educational, professional and personal goals.
· Funds raised by the Organization are used to establish and develop the Organization’s mentoring program and community-based initiatives. The Miss Florida Latina program anticipates awarding scholarships to individuals on the basis of academic merit and social achievement.
